My winter vacation
I could make good memories in my vacation. At the end of the year, I worked at my part time job. The Sushi Bar was very busy. So I don’t remember what I did at the time. And I spent with my friends from the New Year’s Eve to the New Year in Yokohama. Then I returned my hometown, Niigata on January 2nd. I celebrated the New Year with my family and my grandmother. I visited to the shrine to pray, and I ate “Osechi” which my grandmother made. I do love it. Also I met my friends. I enjoyed the time! Winter vacation is too short for me but I spent a good time.

Therefore I intend to have parties with friends. I look forward to it very much. In the new year, I’m going to go my hometown, Niigata. I want to see my family and friends soon. In Niigata, I can eat “Osechi” which my grandmother makes. I love it. So I must be careful not to eat too much. I’m going to enjoy this vacation.\(^^)/

Comparing co-educational and single-sex schools.
There are single-sex schools and co-educational schools. Each has advantages. In single-sex schools, you have a lot in common with your class mate. Your topics of conversation, value system, and ways of thinking will be similar. You can feel free to conversation in your class. Also you can concentrate on your study or club activities. In contrast, you can encounter with a lot of thoughts in co-educational schools. You’ll learn how to talk or cooperate with the opposite sex. There are some of the differences between single-sex schools and co-educational schools. We should carefully consider the merits and demerits of each.

Japanese Culture: “ Ramen”
I’d like to introduce Japanese food culture. In Japan, Ramen (Chinese noodle) is one of the popular foods. It flavored with salt, miso, or soy sauce. A wide variety of ramen exists in Japan and the type is different by districts.
Therefore the ramen is used for the PR of each place. Recently, tukemen (the ramen which puts noodles in soup) or shirunashimen (the ramen which there is no soup) are appeared. In addition, the famous shop’s ramen is sold as instant noodles. So the competition of the ramen market is very intense in Japan. In Yokohama, there is the Ramen Museum. If you like ramen, you should go there.

I like him. I’m also watching the OC. I watched it only first season. I want to go California. In February, I’ll go to Hawaii. I’ll stay with a family for 3 weeks. I want to talk with my host family. If you were them, what do you want to know about Japan? Last week, our school had a school festival. I dressed up as maiko. The makeup took a lot of time. However it was good experience.

Controversy
When a teacher wants to see the result of a quiz soon, he sometime tells students to swap their papers. This way of paper swapping is common in many schools. However, there are proponents and opponents with regard to this matter. Proponents of paper swapping are mostly teachers. They think it’s the quickest way to check students’ result. In addition, they can save time. Proponents also say that this practice arouses students. On the other hand, opponents think we should protect their privacy. Some children don’t want classmate to know their own score. Thus, there are proponents and opponents in this regard. We should be careful in deciding which stance to choose.

Should children have their own cell phones?
Some people say children should have their own cell phones. That may be true, but my opinion is different. I think children don’t need their own cell phones. Firstly, if children have own cell phone, they can access to harmful web sites anywhere, anytime. It could lead incidents because children don’t have enough information. Secondly, parents cannot know children enough because cell phones can protect privacy. Parents might not know what kind of friend children contact. I think this is more important than a GPS function. If parents know children well, they may know the place that children go. Therefore, I think children shouldn’t have cell phones.

When I feel stress.
When my family or friends don’t understand me, I feel stress. When stress builds up, I go out for running. It’s my best way. Also I have other ways. For example, going to Karaoke, eating some delicious food, and sleeping. Then I don’t mind it very much. This is the way toget rid of stress.
Explain the experiment conducted by Pavlov.
Human beings have the ability to learn. Then do dogs have this ability? To answer this question, Pavlov performed an interesting experiment with his dog. In this experiment, whenever food is put before the dog, a bell was rung. Pavlov continued this for several weeks. One day, after several weeks, a bell was rung but food wasn’t put before the dog. However a bell was rung, the dog started salivating. When a bell was rung, the dog thought that it was dinner time. The results showed clearly that dogs have the ability to learn.
